KNITSONIK is officially launched

KNITSONIK^TM was formed in 2005 as a research department. KNITSONIK^TM specialises in fusing new digital sound-recording technologies with the old garment-making technology that is knitting. Using knitting to combat many of the problems which face the would-be sound recordist in their endeavours, KNITSONIK^TM develops hand-knitted designs that

• atune the wearer’s imagination to the act of listening
• minimise the unwanted sonic interference that non-woollen clothes impose onto sound-recording processes
• combat the swoosh of jeans, the rustle of waterproof jackets, and the anti-headphone style of many hats

KNITSONIK^TM is currently working on THE LISTEN HAT^TM; the invention of KNITSONIK^TM “PRODUKT RESEARCH DEPARTMENT DIREKTOR” Felicity Ford.
